John Bailey , your leader on our courses and amazing foreign fishing adventures, is one of Europe's best known fishermen.
John is a columnist for Coarse Fisherman, The Angler's Mail, Trout Fisherman, Salmon and Trout Magazine, The Flyfisher's Journal, and Blinker and Carp Hunters Magazine in Europe. He also contributes regularly towards The Field, Waterlog, The Independent, and the Daily Mail.
John has written nearly thirty books on angling, many recounting his adventures around the world. His latest publication for Dorling Kindersley, "Ultimate Fishing" is selling successfully worldwide. His book "The Fishing Detective" was the inspiration behind the BBC series Tales from the Riverbank which was broadcast in 1997, and for which John was the presenter and the consultant. He is also the author of the book about the series.
John is an advisor for Channel 4's Screaming Reels team, and Radio 5's Dirty Tackle. He presented the award winning documentary "Casting for Gold", the Himalayan Mahseer spectacular which has been networked worldwide. John is also a presenter, together with his wife Joy, for the Pebble Mill series "A Week in the Country" and "The Countryside Hour". He is currently discussing a television project with Pebble Mill involving underwater fish photography.
