	A good days pike fishing After a day on the pike, it was once the custom to stand guard over the catch - often for several hours - in solemn ceremony. Note the latest Goretex raingear, which also doubles for a posh night out on the town.
Bringing home the fish It is sometimes not so obvious how to transfer the catch back to basecamp. After using frozen fish as snowshoes for several years, one member accidentally caught a horse as well, and a bit of lateral thinking saved the day... Recent developments in transport saw us trying this with a 4x4, but after taking a couple of hours to secure the fish, we found that the doors wouldn't open

Catching Chubb Fishing can become quite an obsession, and its surprising where you can find them... One of our regulars proudly sent us this photo of his recent catch, taken with a 2lb line on the service stairs of John Lewis in Basingstoke.
