Fish for char in Greenland this summer - a spectacular prize for the wilderness fisherman.
Almost virgin fishing and you will catch hundreds of these beautiful and exciting fish. 50-75 char a day are not unusual and good sizes, up to 2,5-3 kg. This year they even spotted one that they claim was something like 5 kg.Depending on how hard you fish, expect to catch between ten and one hundred char each day. It's not unusual for a group of five to come back having landed two thousand char.
The char can be caught on fly or spinner and average between two and three pounds but go all the way to ten pounds plus.
If you're new to flyfishing, quick success will have you hooked.
The potential for stunning char is enormous in Greenland - nobody alive knows what the country has still to offer. So, if you're interested in joining what will definitely be the experience of a lifetime, give us a call now because numbers are necessarily limited.
"The scenery, the fishing and the people we met were superb - what an experience.... The fishing was beyond my dreams... The hardest fighting trout I ever came across... We had a great group and we all had a great time... This is the trip of a lifetime and the arctic char fights like no other trout I know."

Brian Culbert, Portstewart, Ireland

"I had no idea what a paradise I was travelling to, the fishing was such a privilege - and such fun."

Andrew Miles, Padstow

"The stillness cannot be conveyed in words. This was the highlight of my year so far. Thankyou for your efficient support in getting this extraordinary adventure to work so well."

Michael Orchard, Cheltenham

We have little hesitation in saying that the latest trip to Greenland was the best yet. The organisation is truly tried and tested and works without a hitch…or as hitch-less as anything in such extreme wilderness can ever be. Camp comfort reached new heights but, above all this new river that we have found really is the business!
Most rivers in Greenland tend to be comparatively short but this one offers a total of around fifteen miles of fishing - and that includes three large lakes. The bottom line here is that you are constantly fishing new water, which presents new challenges and new fish. And what fish they are! Some of these char - because that's what Greenland is all about - were the most explosively coloured males that we've ever come across. Fish of between four and seven pounds coloured like something from a 'pop' video.
The Arctic char runs on this river are hugely prolific and in the end we were all using fly, finding no need at all for spinning. A couple of the guys were pretty new to the fly fishing world but quick success turned them into addicts. And don't those char fight on either fly or spinner? It was simply bliss to see James again standing up to his thighs in the crystal water laughing and laughing as a three-pound char stripped him to his backing.
"Excellent! Surpassed my expectations - even the food was interesting and plenty of it ... everything went like clockwork. Superb fishing and company"

Stuart Crooks, Ayrshire

Greenland is wonderful. Words hardly can do it justice…the icebergs, the whales, reindeer, snow-capped mountains…a deep echoing silence that breeds in you a peace you thought you would never, ever be able to find. We only run one trip to Greenland each year and numbers have to be very limited simply because of the logistics of the trip. We've got a couple of repeat bookings already so do call us soon and see for yourself this extraordinary fishing.
